The Department of Computer Science of the University of Indianapolis, Athens Campus cooperated with the University of the Aegean and Athens Information Technology (AIT) in the organization of the 3rd IFIP Conference on Artificial Intelligence Applications & Innovations (AIAI) that took place from June 7 to June 9 in Athens. Conference proceedings were published by Springer-Verlag in the Main IFIP Series and the authors of the best papers presented at the IFIP AIAI2006 Conference were invited to submit extended and in-depth versions of their work to be published in a Special Issue of International Journal of Applied Intelligence.

UIA students had the opportunity to participate in the organization of the event, attend the conference and discuss computer science related issues with leading researchers and academians from around the world.
The social part of the conference included a traditional night out in the area of Plaka.
