The 1st International Workshop on Semantic Media Adaptation and Personalization (SMAP 2006), co-organized by the Department of Computer Science of the University of Indianapolis, Athens Campus, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens and the Department of Computer Science of Brunel University was held at the Cultural Center of the University of Indianapolis, Athens Campus on December 4-5, 2006.
SMAP proceedings were be published by the IEEE Computer Society. A journal special issue and an edited volume for the Studies in Computational Intelligence series will also solicit the inclusion of deserving papers from the workshop.
UIA studentsparticipated in the organization of the event and had the opportunity to attend it free of registration.
The social part of the event included candle light dinner on the roof of our Cultural Cetre under a clear sky and a bright full moon as well as a guided tour of the Acropolis.
